Contact Uphold Customer Service

Uphold does not operate a telephone support hotline. To safely contact customer service, submit a ticket directly through support.uphold.com or send an email from your registered address to support@uphold.com. Avoid dialing third-party phone numbers found on public forums or search ads, as Uphold will never request your password, 2FA code, or private keys over the phone.

Whenever you submit an inquiry through the Help Center or via email, Uphold issues an automated confirmation email containing a unique 6 or 7-digit Ticket ID. Always reply directly to that confirmation email thread when sending requested identity documents or follow-up questions to keep your ticket assigned to the same support specialist.

Uphold places accounts "Under Review" when automated risk systems detect compliance triggers—such as updated government ID requirements, source-of-wealth verifications, or unusual login locations. During a review, trading or external withdrawals may be temporarily paused. If your account review takes longer than 5 business days, document your ticket ID and case details on raiseacomplaint.com to push for an official update.

If you lose access to your two-factor authentication (2FA) app or mobile device, click "Reset 2FA" on the Uphold sign-in screen or submit a support ticket under Security & 2FA. You will be guided through an automated identity verification process where you must upload a valid government photo ID and a live selfie selfie before 2FA can be safely reset.

Depending on your funding method (such as US ACH bank deposits), Uphold may enforce a temporary holding period before deposited funds or purchased crypto assets can be withdrawn to external wallets. This hold allows bank transfers to clear fully and protects against chargeback fraud. Internal trading within the Uphold wallet remains available during this period.
